Earlier this month, Arizona’s powerful tourism economy was on full display at the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association’s (AzLTA) annual awards gala, recognizing key leaders advancing tourism promotion efforts statewide. Thanks to the focused work of Kim Grace Sabow, President and CEO of AzLTA, Arizona has made measurable strides in expanding tourism efforts and remains a leading national and international travel destination. We were proud to help celebrate the honorees:

City of Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego
Mayor Gallego is helping build a tourism economy that creates opportunity while keeping responsible water stewardship front and center. We’re proud that golf is part of that ecosystem—and that the golf industry continues to invest in smarter, more water-efficient practices.

Senator T.J. Shope
Senator Shope has been an incredible champion for the golf and tourism industry, chairing the Arizona Golf Caucus and leading the way for golf to have a seat at the table in Arizona.

Representative Justin Wilmeth
Representative Wilmeth sponsored this year’s legislation that created Tourism Improvement Areas (TIAs), a private-sector-driven initiative designed to boost Arizona’s economy by enhancing tourism marketing and promotion funded by participating lodging businesses.
Congratulations to all of the awardees. Our thanks also go to AzLTA and fellow tourism partners Visit Phoenix and Experience Scottsdale for their work to make Arizona a preeminent place to visit.
