Events like this highlight how golf serves as an ideal vehicle for nonprofits to build community, foster relationships, and empower life-changing missions.
On April 2, 2026, Scottsdale’s Grayhawk Golf Club welcomed players for the 28th Annual Hospice of the Valley Pro-Am Golf Tournament, presented by Cigna Healthcare. Southwest PGA professionals teamed with amateurs to raise more than $45,000 in support of vital community programs.
Compassionate Care Close to Home
For nearly 50 years, Hospice of the Valley has been Arizona’s largest nonprofit hospice provider. They deliver expert in-home hospice and palliative care, pediatric support, grief counseling, veteran services, and 24/7 assistance — never turning anyone away due to inability to pay. Their work brings dignity and comfort to thousands of families facing serious illness each year.
Golf as a Powerful Force for Good
This longtime tournament at Grayhawk remains a cornerstone fundraiser. By blending competition and camaraderie, it channels the passion for golf into meaningful impact, funding essential patient care and support services that strengthen the organization’s mission.
“This tournament isn’t just about golf. It’s about coming together to ensure every family receives the compassionate care they deserve,” said longtime volunteer chair Jay Hoselton.
