The latest Golf Discovery Adaptive Open took place September 3 at X-Golf Scottsdale, hosting dozens of people with disabilities in a collaborative effort by AZ Golf, City of Scottsdale and PGA Hope Southwest.

“We are proud to continue hosting these clinics in partnership with Stacy Yoder and the City of Scottsdale’s Adaptive Recreation Program,” said Alex Tsakiris, Assistant Executive Director of AZ GOLF. “We’ve seen tremendous enthusiasm from the adaptive golf community and are excited to continue building on that momentum.”

These clinics create opportunities for golfers of all experience levels and expands access to the game. They engage adaptive golfers who already have experience with the game while also introducing new individuals to golf through accessible indoor golf opportunities.

By utilizing Southwest Section PGA Hope instructors, all of the participants benefited from expert coaching from professionals who worked with each athlete, providing one or two key takeaways they can draw upon throughout their journey in the sport.

The Arizona Alliance for Golf is proud to partner with the AZ GOLF Foundation as they continue to create opportunities and expand access to golf for people of all backgrounds and abilities. Thank you to the AZ GOLF Foundation and the City of Scottsdale for helping make golf more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone and for continuing to showcase how golf is good for everyone.
