Phoenix native and Junior Golf Association of Arizona member Alexis Lamadrid shot 3 over par to win by two strokes at the 2026 Curry Cup, the season-ending championship of Steph Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf Tour, held Sept. 15-17 at New York’s Bethpage Black.
Arizona Girls Take 3 of 5 Titles
Incredibly, Lamadrid’s win marks the third for Arizona girls in only five total Curry Cup championships contested since the inaugural tournament in 2022. That’s the year Ashley Shaw of Litchfield Park won at TPC Harding Park, and Gilbert’s Julia Herzberg took home first place in 2025 at Liberty National. For encores, Lamadrid, a Xavier Prep senior, is headed to Texas next year to play for the Longhorns; Shaw is a freshman on the Georgia Bulldogs’ team; and Herzberg plays for the Clemson Tigers.
