Fox 10 recently highlighted the meaningful work of PGA HOPE, a program led by the Southwest PGA Foundation that introduces golf to veterans and active-duty military members across Arizona.

A Program Built for Those Who Served
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) offers a free, six-week curriculum designed specifically for veterans. PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military culture lead the sessions, helping participants build skills while improving physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

Free for All Veterans
Thanks to funding from PGA REACH and the Southwest PGA Foundation, there is no cost for veterans to participate. The program partners with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, local VA hospitals, and host facilities to create supportive, welcoming environments where veterans can connect through the game.

More Than Recreation
Upon completing the program, participants receive a PGA HOPE membership card, unlocking special offers at participating golf facilities. Many veterans describe the experience as life-changing — offering structure, camaraderie, and a healthy outlet for rehabilitation and community reintegration.

The Arizona Alliance for Golf celebrates programs like PGA HOPE that demonstrate how golf serves as a powerful tool for healing and connection in our communities.
