New Collaborative Hub at Papago Golf Club
The Arizona Golf House, located at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, serves as a first-of-its-kind collaborative hub for Arizona’s golf nonprofits. Officially opened in October 2025, the 14,000-square-foot facility brings together 11 leading golf organizations under one roof to amplify their impact on the community.
Featured on Arizona Midday
The “Arizona Midday” program recently highlighted this exciting development. Host Rachel Cole toured the facility with Katie Prendergast, Executive Director of the Arizona Alliance for Golf. The segment showcased how the Golf House connects the life-enhancing values of golf with local residents like never before.
Supporting Youth and Lifelong Learning
The Arizona Golf House unites nonprofits such as First Tee – Phoenix and LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Phoenix. These organizations deliver programs for children as young as three through lifelong learning opportunities, helping participants build confidence, character, and essential life skills through golf.
Golf’s Powerful Impact in Arizona
“We really believe that golf is good for everyone whether or not you play or not,” said Prendergast. “Golf supports 66,000 jobs and contributes $6 billion annually to Arizona’s economy. It also enhances property values, fills hotel rooms, provides green open spaces to mitigate urban heat, and drives charitable giving.”
Water Stewardship and Sustainability
Despite water scarcity concerns in the Southwest, the golf industry uses just 2% of Arizona’s total water while delivering massive economic benefits. The Arizona Golf House and its tenants champion ongoing innovations including reclaimed water use, drought-tolerant turf, and smart irrigation technology.
Open to Everyone
Whether you want to start playing golf, get your kids involved, volunteer, or simply enjoy the space, the Arizona Golf House welcomes all. The facility also features a multi-purpose event space available for public and private rentals.
A Vision for the Future
The Arizona Golf House also is designed as a center for workforce development, education, research, and collaboration with universities. It strengthens Arizona’s golf ecosystem through internships, career pathways, and community outreach.
