While today’s tour stars were competing at the LPGA’s Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass, the next generation of golfers were taking their first cuts on the practice tee.
On Saturday of the championship, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Phoenix hosted a joint golf clinic with First Tee – Phoenix at Whirlwind Golf Club. More than learning the fundamentals of the game, the goal of this clinic was to inspire and empower junior golfers to build confidence in their abilities while highlighting the mental aspect of golf. The program also incorporated the life skills that both Girls Golf and First Tee teach daily — showing what it means to be not only a great golfer but also an even better person.
