The 10th annual Golden Tees celebration kicked off on Thursday, December 11 at the Majestic Theater in Tempe, marking the end of another incredible year of for all of the girls who participated throughout the 2025 season in Girls Golf – Phoenix events. The colorful “Red Carpet,” “Oscar Award” -style evening gathers dozens of girls in the local golf program along with the broader golf community.

“Growing the game of golf is more than just getting the kids on the golf course,” said Cori Matheson, director of Girls Golf – Phoenix. “It’s about engaging them, empowering them and energizing them to make golf – and all of the fun things like this evening – part of their core. This sets them up for success on, and off, the golf course.”

With a mission to “Empower, Engage, Enrich and Energize Girls,” Girls Golf – Phoenix builds confidence, while offering a fun, safe, and competitive athletic environment through year-round schedule of golf-related events, tournaments and clinics. It operates under the umbrella of the Junior Golf Association of Arizona as one of the most successful regional charters of the national USGA*LPGA Girls Golf nonprofit organization.
