The sun came out just in time for all the participants to have a blast at the 12th annual Girls Golf Day. Cori Matheson with LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Phoenix appeared on Fox 10 as the groups warmed up on the putting green before teeing off in the tournament.
“We are continuing to see strong growth of young ladies getting involved with golf,” said Matheson, executive director Girls Golf – Phoenix. “They are truly changing the face of the game by encouraging them to dream big and make the best of the opportunities the game of golf creates for them.”
Open to all girls ages 3-18, the event ran from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills featuring a golf vendor showcase, special guests, professionally guided practice session, games, prizes and a ton of fun.
