Grand Canyon State tourism set a new record in 2024, and Arizona’s golf industry is proud to be a part of this thriving sector of the local economy. We’re also honored to work with local tourism partners such as Arizona Office of Tourism, Experience Scottsdale, Visit Phoenix and many others who contributed to this achievement.
Report Highlights:
Visitors spent a new all-time record of $29.7 billion statewide in Arizona in 2024 — $81 million every single day — reaffirming the tourism and hospitality industry’s position as a consistent and reliable supporter of communities across the state, according to new data released by the Arizona Office of Tourism.
In 2024, Arizona’s tourism industry continued its multi-year trend of year-over-year growth across the board, including a 0.7% increase in domestic visitation, 3.8% increase in tax revenue generated, and 3.2% increase in tourism jobs.
This includes hosting just over 41 million overnight visitors from across the U.S. who generated $4.3 billion in local, state and federal tax revenue to support vital services such as healthcare, public safety and transportation.
This year-over-year growth highlights the continued successful positioning of Arizona as a top-tier travel destination; 55% of visitors reported being influenced to visit due to marketing.
“Arizona continues to shine as a vibrant destination people want to visit, and that translates to more jobs, more business, and stronger communities,” said Gov. Katie Hobbs.
