Rob Collins, chairman of the AAG Water Committee, presented to the Arizona State Senate Natural Resources Committee to highlight the extraordinary water efficiency and stewardship that is core to the Arizona golf industry and share additional positive benefits from the industry. At the conclusion, committee chairman, Senator T. J. Shope, made positive comments about the local golf industry and the value it brings to the community.
“I know that the courses I’ve played do use reclaimed water, which I think that in many respects, a lot of Arizona could learn a lot from the industry on how to preserve a great natural resource and use it in a proper way. So, thank you for all that you do.”
Shope also “encouraged” his colleagues to “go to terminal 3 go to terminal 4 at Sky Harbor and watch all the clubs come off the baggage claim. You’ll be amazed at how many people truly come out here for what we have to offer.”
