Junior Golf Association of Arizona golfer Ashley Shaw became the youngest player to win the John Shippen Cognizant Cup in tournament history. The 15-year-old out of Litchfield Park, Arizona put together a 1-over-par 73 to win by two strokes, despite being the only amateur in the field.

Shaw’s win earned her a sponsor’s exemption into the LPGA Tour Cognizant Founders Cup held at Upper Montclair in New Jersey. The high school amateur competed along with her mother, Sylvia, caddying by her side against the top female golfers worldwide.

Golf Channel’s Tom Abbott caught up with Ashley while strolling down the fairway.
