The Arizona Alliance for Golf (AAG) was proud to participate in National Golf Day in Washington, D.C., joining golf industry leaders from across the country to promote and protect the game at the federal level.
Representing Arizona alongside the AAG were Cat Carmignani, Executive Director of AZ Golf; Ben Baldwin of the Southwest Section PGA Board of Directors; Dawn Grove, Vice President and Corporate Counsel for PING; Marc Connerly, Executive Director of the Golf Course Owners Association of Arizona; and Ryan Standifird of the Cactus and Pine Golf Course Superintendents Board of Directors.
Throughout the week, the Arizona delegation met with congressional offices to discuss key federal issues impacting the industry, including tax policy, temporary visas, and turfgrass research. Just as importantly, the group shared the Arizona golf story and highlighted the game’s significant economic, environmental, and community impact across the state.
National Golf Day remains an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with Arizona’s congressional delegation, collaborate with industry peers from across the country, and ensure Arizona golf continues to have a strong voice in conversations shaping the future of the industry.
