AAG’s Greg Tryhus and Katie Prendergast recently discussed Arizona golf advocacy efforts with the National Golf Course Owners Association’s senior director of advocacy Ronnie Miles.

Tryhus started the alliance years ago following a conversation about water resources with then Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, who told him, “If you don’t get organized and get to the table, you’re going to be on the menu.”

One of the first things Tryhus did was engage Katie Prendergast with Horizon Strategies. In the interview, which begins at 14:36, they lay out alliance-driven progress since then, touching on a number of subjects from advocacy updates and other political developments to the type of community education and outreach that has made the AAG a nationwide leader determined to “protect an industry worth protecting.”
