Arcis Golf’s Joe Shershenovich, Grayhawk Golf Club General Manager and longtime industry advocate, was unanimously appointed to the City of Scottsdale’s Tourism Commission. It’s a proactive step by the AAG to ensure golf will be represented in vital conversations about the future of golf, tourism and Scottsdale’s economic development. In the Scottsdale City Council Special Meeting clip we’ve included below, in which three candidates advocated for their positions and qualifications, Joe Shershenovich’s presentation starts at the 55:39 mark.

“One of the exciting aspects of having Joseph on this commission is the focus of golf in our tourism industry,” said Councilmember Adam Kwasman. “As the chair of the subcommittee of economic development, golf is a forefront of our present, past and future, making sure it has the environmental focus, economic focus, and the cultural focus for this city.”
